Hello and welcome to the inaugural entry of my xanga online diary. I was recommended by my good friend Stephen (aka hksteve) to sign up. All is well so far. Had an enjoyable day today - went out to the city with Steve by public transport (I was surprised at the trains being on time for once). I paid for everything because Steve has been very hospitable to me in the past at various lan parties, so I thought it was the least I could do. We firstly went to Sushi train in the George Street cinema complex and had some pretty tasty Japanese sushi to which I added copious wasabi and soy sauce, but I had some difficulty with the chopsticks. Then I bought movie tickets to "Meet The Fockers" the hilarious sequel to "Meet The Parents" - it was truly a funny movie, "hey have you met Dom Focker?" or "my name is Pamela Martha Focker" and when a small baby started saying "asshole" to its parents. Simple plays on expletives but it was good enough to make anyone laugh. Had a lot of fun at the arcades as well with Stephen giving me some handy tips on how to play Initial D properly before finally teaming up in Virtua Cop and shooting the shit out of everything. It's a good stress reliever but our forefingers killed after! We then spent the rest of the time walking around the shops in QVB and others - Steve was trying to find hairdye but to no avail, as we tried priceline pharmacy but there was an appalling lack of service and so he didn't know which bleach or colour to purchase. We stopped at Starbucks and I had a frappucino and Stephen had a cappucino, although it was more like a cup of boiling coffee rather than a creamy, smooth cappucino as it should have been. I feel sorry for Steve as he is longing for his newly acquired girlfriend called Rachel. Good for him. Apparently she will be back in Australia in February. But his cousin from the UK, who arrives tomorrow (31st Dec) should keep him from feeling lonely. | | |
